  General FAQs

Q: What is Giclée?
A: Giclée (zhee-klay) is a French term meaning "spraying of liquid." Images are generated
from a high resolution digital scan and then printed with archival quality inks onto a
number of different mediums, including canvas and fine art papers. Giclée prints are
made using professional inkjet printers and provide better color accuracy than other
means of reproduction.

Q: What type of mediums do you offer for giclée prints?
A: The mediums available for our giclée prints will vary from artist to artist, but we offer
the following mediums:

• Premium Lustre Photo Paper
• Water Resistant Canvas
• Watercolor Fine Art Paper

All prints are coated with PremierArt Eco Print Shield which renders water soluable prints
water-resistant, greatly enhances UV light resistance (helps to prevent prints from fading)
and is toxicology safe.

Q: Are the giclée prints mounted?
A: All giclée prints on paper mediums are unmounted and shipped rolled in a cardboard
tube with a protective foam sheet to help prevent surface damage. Canvas prints are
also unstretched and shipped the same way, but are printed for a gallery wrap frame.

Gallery-wrap canvas prints are the only option produced stretched on a frame and
ready to hang.

Q: What is a gallery-wrap canvas print?
A: A gallery-wrap canvas print is meant to be hung without a frame. It doesn't have any
visible staples or nails holding the canvas to the wooden stretcher frame (because the
canvas is attached in the back and not the sides). Quite often gallery-wrap canvases
have the image extended over the sides of the canvas, either continuous or mirrored.

Q: What is a limited edition print?
A: A limited edition print is one that is limited to a predetermined print quantity. The edition
is often signed by the artist and each individual print is numbered. The numbers on the
print denote the individual piece number in the edition over the total edition size. For
example, a print numbered 10/150 would be the 10th print in a series of 150)

Q: How long do orders take to be completed?
A: Upon receiving your order, prints and gallery wrap prints take 5-7 business days. Limited
Edition pieces take 3 weeks. These times are for production only and do not include
actual shipping times.

Q: What is your return/refund policy?
A: All sales are final, except for damaged items which may be returned for an exchange
within 3-5 business days of receiving your completed order.

Q: Do you charge sales tax?
A: All orders shipped within the State of Hawaii will incur a 4.712% sales tax. No sales tax will be charged on orders shipped outside
of Hawaii.

Q: Do you offer framing for the prints?
A: The selection of framing, matting and other finishing options is a highly personal and
emotional experience. We recommend that you consult with your local professional
framing specialist to assist you in customizing the finish to your personal tastes and
pleasures.
